Parlour Diner is a long time Melbourne Fried Chicken favourite of ours that we have reviewed many times. So this time we’ll let the photos do all the talking. Enjoy

Hollywood was in Brisbane for work, again and managed to visit an institution of Brisbane night life; Lefty’s Music Hall. Guess what? They had some really good Fried Chicken, check out the snaps below
This place had loads of character and was really funky and moreover packs a mean fried chicken with a good spice. We definitely recommend checking it out. We are also keen to try the burgers next time around

Hello Sam is a local burger joint that we haven’t visited in a while. This place has gone through somewhat of a transformation a while back and it was to our surprise to find them serving a special monster Melbourne Fried Chicken burger so we had to get it!
This burger was loaded with all kinds of layers and was really hard to handle, extra sloppy the way Hollywood likes his burgers. The fried chicken was a bit too crunchy and oily however everything seemed freshly cooked but there were too many tastes for it’s own good.

Hollywood was at a work trip in Brisbane and right close by to where work was, a heavenly fried chicken option: La Rottiserie
The place boasts to dish out a superb fried chicken as “Our succulent rotisserie chicken dipped in buttermilk and New Orleans inspired spices, flash fried for just 30 seconds and served with ranch dressing…not so sinful after all!!”
The chicken was amazing, fresh and steamy and extremely tender like even falling off the bones) even the breast. The coating was flaky and spiced well but could have been a little bit spicier…but we are just nitpicking here, nothing really to complain about

When Hollywood heard the news that Huxtaburger was doing their own rendition of Melbourne Fried Chicken he jumped on the chance to check out the crispy goodness
This chicken was a bit of a disappointment. It wasnt properly spiced and the pieces were small. The chicken was a bit dry as well but luckily the sriracha mayo was there to save the day. Our advice is to go for the burgers and give the tenders a miss

A move a way from traditional crispy fried we have decided to shed a bit of light on one of our favorite Melbourne Fried Chicken dishes, Kung Pao Chicken made by The Chick
While the chicken is not deep fried it is stir fried, so technically we are all over this one and why wouldn’t be? It has fried chicken, it has nuts, and is full of ginger, garlic, chilis, and sichuan peppercorns…BOOM!
The chick has amazing wok stir fry skills…KAPOW!!
This dish keeps you coming back for more and more. The heat and spices creep on you from the first bite and keep building up like no tomorrow and to add to that the sichuan peppercorns make your mouth go numb and number.
Overall this is a great dish that we have regularly at Hollywood and The Chick’s household
It was gonna be a messy day for Hollywood’s bucks so the boys had to start off the right way, with lots and lots of Melbourne Fried Chicken.
The Chicken Scene is no stranger to Parlour Diner. This place rocks on like nobody’s business. Their chicken pieces are huge and well spiced and flavored. They are breast pieces and when mixed their chipotle mayo the combination is deadly

It was a warm sunny day and the chicken scene team were craving some Melbourne Fried Chicken crunchy goodness. It was time to sample the new buzz in town, Magic Mountain
We just went for a small sample of the crunchy fried chicken ribs
This chicken was really crunchy, might quite possibly the crunchiest we have had yet. It was an interesting flavor as some shrimp paste goes into the coating. It was also surrounded with spices and leaves. The blend of flavors was superb and reminded us of an Asian fusion style of Melbourne Fried Chicken.
We would definitely recommend checking Magic Mountain out. Give it a go if you want some crunchy goodness!
